We recently organized and successfully executed a comprehensive emergency response drill, simulating a leakage from a major hazard source—an acrylonitrile storage tank. The drill was designed to rigorously test the company's emergency protocols, enhance coordination capabilities, and strengthen overall preparedness for potential chemical incidents.

The simulated scenario involved a leakage from an acrylonitrile tank due to a faulty gasket. Upon discovering the simulated leak, onsite operators immediately initiated initial containment procedures and promptly reported the incident to the company's Emergency Command Center.

Activating the emergency response plan without delay, the Command Center mobilized various emergency teams. These teams, including Emergency Rescue, Medical Aid, Environmental Monitoring, Security & Evacuation, Logistics Support, and Technical Support, swiftly assembled and sprang into action under a unified command.

The drill unfolded efficiently: Rescue personnel, equipped with full-body chemical protective suits and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), entered the simulated leakage area to identify the source and perform plugging operations. The Medical Aid team provided first aid and evacuation for simulated casualties. The Environmental Monitoring team conducted real-time air quality monitoring onsite and downwind to track potential pollutant dispersion. The Security team established a safety perimeter and guided the orderly evacuation of personnel to upwind assembly points. All teams demonstrated excellent coordination, clear communication, and effective execution of their designated roles, successfully completing all drill objectives.
